Karen Slizgi, Executive Director of San Diego Early Childhood Learning Centers, was born and raised in the Midwest. She lived on the east coast for 10 years before moving to San Diego.

Karen graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early childhood Education.

All staff members of the La Jolla Preschool Academy are experienced and specially trained in early childhood education. Each member meets or exceeds the state licensing agency requirements. Our staff continues their education through in house training, professional workshops, and further college course work in order to remain up-to-date with the constant progression in the child development field and other related areas. Our staff members are also CPR and First Aid certified.
