I have worked at Bay Park Early Learning Center since 2005. I have had the opportunity to work with children of ages 3 months - 5 years old. I am currently working as an aid and teacher at the center. I really enjoy working with children and getting to experience them smiling and growing everyday.

I moved to San Diego from Chicago in 1989. With that transition, I found my passion in life as a preschool teacher. I have been teaching ever since and enjoy every moment, even in the most challenging of moments. I'm still a die-hard Cubs fan and hope to see them win a World Series!

I'm originally from Los Angeles, and I grew up in a large family. I have been working with children for forty years. One of my first jobs was teaching 2 year olds, and then I moved to 4 year olds. Most of my career, I have had the pleasure of working with ages 3 years and under. Most of all, I enjoy helping the children learn and grow. They never stop amazing me!

I have earned my BA in child development from the Point Loma Nazarene College. I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach the pre-K class at Bay Park Early Learning Center since 1992. The philosophy of my classroom can be summed up in this poem:
We believe that learning is lifetime adventure. We believe in facing each day with minds open to knowledge and hearts open to love. We believe in the freedom to wonder to ask, to explore, to imagine, and to create. We believe that success means doing our best, being our best, and feeling proud of our effort. we believe that every one of us has special talents, and that the talents of each of us hellp all of us. We believe in ourselves, in each other, and in the classroom.

I have been with San Diego Early Learning Centers since 1987. I have an associates degree in Early Childhood Development and Supervision. One of my greatest joys, besides teaching, is watching the development of the children under my care. I love knowing that I played a small part in their growth.

I have worked with children since 2003. I like working with all ages, but have spent most of my career working with ages 3 month - 2 years. The best part of working with kids is all the love and energy they bring with them each day.
